Lanta Tour Voyage goes bankrupt

One of Russian's more established tour operators Lanta Tour, announced its bankruptcy on January 28. Lanta was a multi-destination tour operator with focus on Thailand, Vietnam, Cuba, Italy and France. During the first week of February, hundreds of Russian tourists found themselves stranded abroad, as their hotels and air tickets were not paid by the tour operator. The Russian authorities are helping to bring back to Russia the abandoned tourists. The bankruptcy was due to an unexpected decision by the bank, not to continue its credit line to the company.
