InterContinental Hotels Group announced their plans to open 100 properties in Russia by 2020. Today IHG operates 11 hotels in Russia including the brands Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and its first Intercontinental brand hotel which is to open in central Moscow by November, 2011.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will open a Sheraton property at Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow by 2014. This will be the 2nd Sheraton in the Russian capital. The new hotel will be a part of a business park called Sky Point, which is under construction near the international terminal.
