Worldhotels comes to Russia

Worldwide hotels, a group of 450 independent hotels worldwide, announced their plans to open a Moscow office and launch their Russian language website. Worldhotels also plans to make a strategic partnership with the Russian flag carrier Aeroflot and become a part of their Aeroflot Bonus program. In 2011 the group will expand its portfolio to include hotels in Moscow, St-Petersburg and Kazan in Russia, and also several properties in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Hyatt International plans to open 7 new properties in Russia in the next 3 years. Hyatt already signed agreements to manage hotels in Moscow, Sochi, Vladivostok and St-Petersburg. A new Hyatt will be opened in Rostov in 2012. Today Hyatt manages 3 properties in Russia including the Ararat Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt Moscow Residences in Moscow and the Hyatt Regency in Yekaterinburg. In March 2011, Starwoods Hotels & Resorts will launch the first W hotel in St-Petersburg. Currently, Starwoods runs 3 properties in Russia: Le Meridien Moscow Country Club in the Moscow region, and Sheraton Palace and National Hotel in Moscow. The new W hotel will be located in the heart of St-Petersburg.
