Rostourism has revealed figures for Russian outbound tourism in the first 6 months of 2012. They show a 12% increase compared to last year. In total, 6 million Russians went abroad during January-June 2011. Among destinations with the highest growth rate were: Cuba (+108%), Thailand (+87%), Spain and Greece (+75% each), the Dominican Republic (+65%), Sweden (+91%) and Germany (+52%). The main losers were the Middle East destinations like Egypt (-60%), Jordan (-24%), Tunisia (-40%), and also Japan (-52%) and Lithuania (-53%).
