Hyatt Hotels Corporation has signed an agreement to manage the new Hyatt Regency property in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, which will host Winter Olympic Games in 2014. The construction of the new hotel has already started and is scheduled to be completed by end 2013. The new property will have 176 rooms and suites. This will be a 3rd Hyatt in in Russia, in addition to the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow and Hyatt Regency in Ekaterinburg.

tripTripAdvisor comes to the Russian market. The largest international travel portal Trip Advisor has signed an agreement with the Russian online service Oktogo.ru. The Russian portal will provide TripAdvisor with a database of over 2,000 hotels in Russia, aiming to increase it by 5,000 over the next 12 months.

Best Western International will take over the management of its first Moscow hotel. The chain will manage the Best Western Vega Hotel & Convention Centre which is located on the outskirts of Northern Moscow, in Izmailovo. The hotel has 970 rooms and was built in 1980 for the Russian Olympics but renovated in 2007.
