Dear Subscriber,

Helene LloydThe recently published half yearly results for 2011, show that the Russian market grew by 11% during the 1st half of 2011, which is more than double the global average growth rate. However key destinations in the Middle East, such as Egypt and Tunisia, suffered huge decreases due to the political turmoil in their countries, whereas Scandinavia and Cuba were some of the fastest growing destinations, but their numbers start from a much smaller base than many other destinations, so it is easier to achieve high growth rates. Southern Europe, particularly Spain and Greece received the greatest increase in volume from Russia as well as Thailand - these destinations largely replaced many popular Middle East ones.
As the Russian market does not stand still, nor does TMI, we will be shortly launching our B2B Workshops for 2012 in both Baku and Almaty on 20 and 23rd April 2012. Those who attended the workshop in Almaty this year were able to experience 14 pre-scheduled appointments with leading TO, MICE Companies in Almaty. If you are interested in attending these workshops, please be in touch with me directly more information. Participation cost is 1,500 Euro per workshop, there will be a special early bird price relevant until Oct 31st, 2011.

Best regards,
